The Lorain Sports Hall of Fame was founded in December, 1969, to honor those Lorain residents whose names are synonymous with all that is the best in athletic achievement from the outstanding sports heritage in Lorain, the International City.

Click these links to download forms to order banquet tickets, advertisements and patron sponsor ads for the LSHOF Enshrinement Banquet to be held May 11. Completed forms must be returned by Friday, April 19, 2024. Details on submitting the forms and payments are included on each form. Advertisements will appear in the banquet program book as well as be visible via the LSHOF website www.lorainsportshalloffame.com and the LSHOF Facebook page.

The banquet will be held at German’s Villa, 3330 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion. Social hour starts at 4 p.m. with the banquet opening at 5 p.m.

Eight individuals and one team will be inducted into the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame as the Class of 2024. In addition, student athlete nominees for the J. Ed Uland Award and Grand Financial Grants will be presented. Four individuals from Clearview High School and Lorain High School will share in funds totaling $3,000, endowed by the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame to further their education. One male and one female will be selected as Uland Award winners. The other two will receive Grand Financial Grants.

2024 Enshrinees and Banquet

Join us in honoring the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame Inductees for the class of 2024.  They are to be enshrined at the annual banquet on May 11, 2024, at German’s Villa. Doors open at 4 p.m. for cocktails and the banquet starts and dinner is at 5 p.m. Ticket information will be forthcoming.

Mark your 2024 calendars for these events

Here are the dates of upcoming major events for the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.

STEAK FRY – On Sunday March 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Amherst Eagles hall, 1161 Milan Ave. Tickets $25 per person. Steak, baked potato, salad, dessert, free beer & pop. Proceeds go our J. Ed Uland Scholarship Fund.
ENSHRINEMENT BANQUET – May 11, 4 p.m. open, 5 pm. dinner at German’s Villa in Vermilion
GOLF OUTING – July 13, at Fox Creek golf course in Lorain.
