Standout of the Lorain Bowling Association for 42 consecutive years. Has 192 career average, which encompasses 120 leagues. Averaged 200 or better for eight straight years. Big Leo startled the national bowling populace in 1931, when at age 19, rolled three consecutive 300 games. While the 900 salvo was unsanctioned Bentley is recognized as the first man in history to perform such a feat. One of only two men to win four or more separate titles in a single LBA tourney. Has bowled 30 series of 700 or better. Only Lorainite to post 700s at each of the following houses: Broadway, Rebman’s, Saxon and Croation.
