The Lorain Sports Hall of Fame was founded in December, 1969, to honor those Lorain residents whose names are synonymous with all that is the best in athletic achievement from the outstanding sports heritage in Lorain, the International City.
The Hall of Fame relies on nominations from the public to identify deserving individuals for induction. Nominations are accepted year-round, with submissions received by September 30 eligible for consideration during that year’s selection process. Final inductees are chosen by committee vote and honored at the annual banquet each May.
The Lorain Sports Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that financially supports athletic and academic excellence (please refer to J. Ed Uland Award). We gratefully accept donations to support this awards program.
