Frank Perry – (1976)

 

Frank’s greatest achievement was winning the coveted American Bowling Congress singles championship in competition with over 25,000 other bowlers in the annual ABC Bowling Championship, held in Miami, Florida in 1967.

Frank’s winning score was 723. The victory gave him a berth on the United States Team that went on to capture the sixth World Championship at Malmo, Sweden in 1967.

A total of 21 nations competed in this event, which is considered to be the Olympics of bowling.

Frank is a consistent 190 average bowler with three seasons in the 200-plus range. Frank Perry was the winner of the 1963 All-Events Championship in the annual Lorain City Tournament.

During the ABC competition in 1967, Perry averaged 241 pins per game. During the 1963 City Tournament he rolled 2,030 pins in nine games for 225 pins per game.

Perry’s ABC championship came on games of 265-227-231—723.
